Government Opportunities - Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA): Transformation, the New Normal

October 22, 2010

Speaker:
Stephen Rigby
President
Canada Border Services Agency

Keynote Summary:
The Canada Border Services Agency has a long and proud history of over 125 years of service to Canada. Over the last 20 years and especially since 9/11, it has seen dramatic changes in its mandate. Though still focused on expediting trade and travel, it must now also balance a heightened requirement for ensuring the safety and protection of Canada’s vast borders. It was an early user of advanced technologies to expedite trade and travel and as its transformation advances, technology continues to play an important role, with e-Manifest as just one example of its new vision. Stephen Rigby will provide insight into his vision for the border services of the 21st century and the role technology is playing as he leads this key transformation.
