SMC Best Practice Fall Forum - Burlington/GTA Cluster

November 30, 2010

“Design Methodology For Combined MEMs/Microelectronics Products”

MEMS-based devices are now in leading products including mobile phones and video game controllers while continuing to be important in airbags and other sensor applications.

CAD tools are still coping with the challenges of mixed signal implementations, so is it possible for the design tool community to provide valuable help to the product design community?

All topics for BPFs are chosen by attendees of previous events and this particular topic has been chosen by both the Montréal and GTA clusters independently. So, there will be a BPF in both locations as described below.

In Burlington, Mary Ann Maher of SoftMEMS will talk about the capabilities of today’s tools and what to look for in the near future.  She will be joined by Scott Bulbrook and Sam Ho of DA-Integrated who will discuss MEMS Product Testing.

In Montréal, Mary Ann Maher will be joined by Rémi Meingan of DALSA Semiconductor who will also share his real world experiences from a user’s viewpoint.

Please join us in Burlington or Montréal where all participants will share their own company’s experiences to provide a note of real-world caution. Take advantage of this opportunity to gain better insight into a complex subject and enjoy valuable networking time with your colleagues in an informal sharing of best industry practices.
