Neil Tanner

Neil Tanner's job is to help Canada's small businesses and Microsoft partners compete, win new business and realize their full potential. His success, like many at Microsoft, is measured entirely through the success of others – when a Canadian small business gets the most out of its Microsoft technology and leaps ahead of the competition, or when a partner builds a new solution based on Microsoft products, Neil knows his team is fulfilling its mission.

Neil is uniquely qualified to tackle this broad leadership role. Before joining Microsoft Canada, he managed Microsoft Ireland's SMS&P business for four years. Before that, Neil ran his own partner business for seven years. Having worked on both sides of the Microsoft/Partner relationship, Neil has a deep grasp of what partners and small businesses need and an equally deep understanding of how Microsoft can help them succeed.

His job is to bring it all together.

Neil's partners and customers, his team and his family can all attest to his relentlessly positive and energetic approach to life. Neil tackles a business challenge with the same enthusiasm he brings to kite surfing or triathlons. Among his greatest joys, is walking his children to school.
