ITAC IT 101 breakfast event: “MAPS Update - Where we are, where we are going”

April 27, 2011

ITAC would like to invite you to attend the next "IT 101 - Everything you Always Wanted to Know About Working with the OPS Series" event:

"MAPS Update - Where we are, where we are going"

In this session, Russ Whitehead, Head of Business and Application Modernization for the Enterprise Services Cluster, will present a "MAPS Update - Where we are, where we are going."

In 2009, the Government of Ontario embarked on an ambitious project to modernize many of our key IT applications, and control our technical risks, using a pragmatic, portfolio based approach which we called the Major Applications Portfolio Strategy or MAPS.

Just over half way into the MAPS effort, 50 high risk applications have been successfully modernized or replaced, many with the assistance of ITAC member companies, and through efficient portfolio management, MAPS has provided additional reinvestment opportunities to further mitigate our risks.

So, what remains for the remainder of the MAPS project, and what types of opportunities are there for private sector organizations to work with the government in its modernization efforts? Attend this session and find out.

Please join us on April 27th for an informative and interactive discussion. Here are the details.
