Rick Skinner Biography:
Rick Skinner is the Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Cancer Care Ontario (CCO). Rick has over 25 years of experience in healthcare information systems, including positions as the CIO for hospitals, a medical research laboratory and an independent consulting firm, and as the project manager for the development and implementation of the U.S. Department of Defense's global medical information system. Prior to CCO, Rick was the Director at Navigant Consulting, a global professional services firm specializing in healthcare and litigation support.
In 1994, Rick was the recipient of the Healthcare Information Executives Forum, Crystal Award for Excellence. He also received the John Gall Award for Healthcare CIO of the Year at the 2002 Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Conference.
