As the first semester of post-secondary studies winds down, over 2,500 Business Technology Management (BTM) students from across Canada are starting to think about their job prospects. With their skills in harnessing technology to meet the changing needs of today’s businesses, BTM graduates are in high demand across multiple industries and sectors – including  banking, retail, finance, telecommunications, consulting and healthcare.

To help students make that important career decision, ITAC Talent organizes the national marquee BTM TalentMash conference in Toronto every fall that brings together BTM students from 14 universities across Canada that currently offer the program. The conference features keynote presentations, panel discussions and breakout sessions led by innovative tech thought leaders who share their insights on the latest technology trends and provide focal career advice to students.

The key event highlight is the Career Fair that fosters relationships among industry and students, resulting in many successful placements of BTM graduates into today’s in demand careers – such as business technology management consulting, business analysis and project management.

“The BTM TalentMash event is a proven talent pipeline for us. We have been coming here for a few years and now took the next step and became a Platinum Sponsor. We’ve got some great BTM students who are currently in our Next Generation Talent Program that are here right now promoting the event” says Tina Tellis, Campus Consultant at Canadian Tire.

Planning for the 2015 BTM TalentMash conference is already underway. The event will celebrate the wide variety of exciting tech careers that are emerging and shaping our future.
