John DiMarco, CIO, Land and Resources Cluster
Appointed as CIO for the Land and Resources I&IT Cluster in 2013, John was previously with the Justice Cluster since 2001. John has over 32 years of experience in I&IT. John joined the OPS in 1985 and has advanced with increasing roles and experience in solutions delivery and support, technology infrastructure, and information management and planning. For the justice cluster his experience includes leading an organization that delivered and managed a robust IT infrastructure servicing 27,000 staff, with over 21,000 workstations/1300 servers in over 850 provincial locations, on a 7X24 basis.
Ron Huxter, CIO, Central Agencies I&IT Cluster
After receiving a B.Sc. in Applied Physics (Geophysics) from University of Toronto, Ron had a short career in the mining and natural resources sector. Ron joined the Ontario government in 1986 and has been in the information technology area of the OPS for over 20 years.
Corbin Kerr, CIO, Children, Youth and Social Services Cluster
Corbin Kerr is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the Children, Youth and Social Services I&IT Cluster (CYSSC). CYSSC provides I&IT services and support to the Ministry of Children and Youth Services (MCYS) and the Ministry of Community and Social Services (MCSS), and their agents.
Corbin assumed the position of CIO for the CYSSC in March, 2008. Prior to joining CYSSC, Corbin held several executive positions in the OPS and private sector including: CIO, Economics and Transportation I&IT Cluster; Executive Lead, Infrastructure Technology Services, Ontario Government and; CIO – Bermuda Ministry of Education.
Rocco Passero, Executive Lead, Infrastructure Services
Working for Infrastructure Technology Services (ITS) within the Ministry of Government Services, Rocco is the Executive Lead overseeing the operations of three large branches – Data Centre Operations, Desktop Services & Field Services, and Customer Relationship Management. In this role, Rocco provides executive leadership to 700+ employees ensuring a successful delivery of ITS commitments. Previous to his Executive Lead position, Rocco was the Director accountable for strategic planning and design services.
Rocco has 20 plus years experience in the Ontario Government and has a proven track record of delivering large complex transformational programs achieving over $25 million dollars is savings to the Ontario Government annually.
Fred Pitt, Head, IT Source
Fred is the Head of IT Source in the Central Agencies Cluster, Ministry of Government Services. He has held progressive roles in Information Technology in the Ontario Public Service over the past 12 years. These roles include leading the Enterprise IT Project Centre, Health Services Cluster Project Management Office, and as IT Project Manager in Economics & Business Cluster, Ministry of Consumer & Business Services, and with Infrastructure Technology Services.
