Federal Smart City Challenge Information / Consultation Session for ITAC Members

In November, the federal government announced a new Smart Cities Challenge initiative to accelerate the adoption of innovative urban infrastructure (full text from the Fall Economic Statement is pasted below my signature). Details of this program are still under development but will likely be finalized shortly in time for the spring budget.

ITAC has arranged an information/consultation session for ITAC members with Infrastructure and Communities Canada to discuss the government’s proposed approach. This will be a chance for ITAC members to learn more about the program (and how your company could take advantage) and for industry to provide feedback on how the program can be designed for maximum impact.

The consultation will be on January 19th from 3:00-5:00 pm in downtown Ottawa (teleconference will also be available).
