ITAC Health’s Interoperability and Standard Committee (ISC) is proud to host this complimentary webinar on eHealth Ontario’s EHR Connectivity Strategy which will be presented by eHealth Ontario’s Chief Architect, Peter Bascom and Director of Integration and Solution Architecture, Mike Krasnay.

Ontario’s EHR Connectivity Strategy was published in July 2015 and describes how health care information will be connected to create a safe, cost-effective, provincially integrated EHR.

Designed to inform EHR investment and integration decisions, the strategy discloses how local and regional health IT solutions need to integrate with provincial assets to become part of the province’s EHR. The Strategy outlines the transition steps that will take us from where we are today to a future state where health care providers have timely and secure access to critical health care information.

The presentation will describe the practical components of the strategy including an asset inventory; a searchable database which catalogues existing ehealth assets in the province and a point of service document which describes provincial EHR connectivity requirements.  Looking to engage the vendor community to influence and inform the next iteration of the strategy.

This special ISC meeting will be held via Gotomeeting on September 23, 2015 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon EST. The meeting is open to all ITAC members.  Non-members are also welcome.
