With the conclusion of its purchase of Shaw Media, Corus Entertainment is now poised for leadership in the Canadian digital content industry. The acquisition unites some highly respected Corus brands like Nelvana and Kids Can Press with former Shaw assets like the Global Television network and 17 popular specialty TV channels. A central of Corus’ leadership strategy is a sharp focus on providing top quality content across all platforms, particularly for women and children.
On March 7, at the next ITAC-WCT Women in Leadership event, Barb Williams, Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer of Corus Entertainment, will discuss this strategy and why it makes Corus a particularly exciting place for women to work. Barb, who was named WCT Chair’s Award of Distinction in 2014, will also reflect on her career at the forefront of film, broadcasting and digital content.
This is a great opportunity to meet one of Canada’s most fascinating women in our digital economy.
