Ingenious Awards Showcase The Best Of What We Do

Once again, ITAC is celebrating the very best in the innovative use of information and communications technology (ICT) through our Ingenious Awards program.

The third edition of the program is well underway, and nominations are arriving in advance of the June 30 deadline.

If you have not yet submitted a nomination for your own organization’s project, a project that your company was involved with as a vendor, or a great project you have encountered through some other means, the time to act is now.

The nomination form – as well as complete details on qualifications and judging – are available at ingeniousawards.ca.

The Ingenious Awards recognize excellence in the use of ICT to improve the performance or large and small businesses, government operations and not-for-profit organizations. Not only does the program give those who work so hard to advance the objectives of their organizations through the innovative use of ICT the recognition they richly deserve, it also illustrates through best practice how other organizations can equally benefit from the smart use of technology.

For this year’s program, we are accepting nominations for projects that have taken place within the past two years (i.e., completed no earlier than June 2012).

Again this year, judging will be conducted in a rigorous two-tier process. A team of IT executives from the CIO Association of Canada will oversee the initial judging phase. A second judging panel led by Ronan McGrath and made up of five senior CIOs and CEOs, including a representative from the CIO Association of Canada, will select the final winners in each category.

Judging takes place over the summer, and the awards culminate with our Ingenious Awards Gala at the Four Seasons Hotel Toronto on November 12. Each year, this gala brings out a tremendous cross-section of our industry, and presents both a great social opportunity and a high-profile platform to recognize and celebrate the best of what we do. In conjunction with the awards presentation, Ingenious Awards winners are profiled in Backbone magazine, as well as through an extensive media outreach program.

The stories of how organizations – large and small, public and private – apply ICT to increase productivity, provide better client service, and expand their reach are compelling. We have begun to curate these stories on the Ingenious Awards site, and invite you to read this impressive collection of best practices.

We believe the Ingenious Awards program offers Canada’s best showcase for ICT achievement and collaboration between technology vendors and their clients. If you know about a project that deserves recognition, don’t miss the deadline for nominations; it’s approaching quickly.
