Magazine Focuses On Gender Diversity In ICT Security

This month, SC Magazine, Haymarket Media’s publication for ICT security professionals, examines the topic of gender diversity in the security sector.

One feature, written by James Hale, focuses on the need for mentors, coaches and a more adaptive school system to encourage young women to pursue the numerous opportunities that are opening up in ICT security. Featured in the article are University of Waterloo professor Karen Wensley, author of ITAC’s landmark study on women on ICT boards of directors, and Vanessa Dawson, co-founder of Girls Raising, the New York City-based group that has partnered with ITAC to stage workshops on diversity in Toronto.
