The Canadian Health Informatics Awards (CHIA) Gala Announces the Top 2015 Finalists for Project Teams Awards

StatueOn behalf of the Canadian Health Informatics Awards Gala Adjudication Committee, ITAC Health and COACH: Canada’s Health Informatics Association are pleased to announce that the top 2015 finalists for the Project Team awards have been selected.   The CHIA Gala Adjudication Committee presented their scorings for all the award categories to COACH and ITAC Health on Thursday, May 21, 2015.

All awards will be presented and announced on June 2nd in Toronto at the 2015 CHIA Gala, which is being held in conjunction with the e-Health Conference.   CHIA celebrates its 10th Anniversary this year and we invite you join us as we honour the contributions and commitment to Canada’s Health Informatics Industry. The 2015 awards being presented will include the Clinician Leadership Award, Corporate Citizenship Award, Emerging Leader in Health Informatics Award,   Innovation in Adoption of Health Informatics, Leadership in the field of Health Informatics and the Steven Huesing Scholarship. The 2015 top finalists for CHIA Project Teams are:

Innovation and Care Delivery Project Team Award

The iCare Project Team – Centre for Addition and Mental Health CAMH and Cerner Canada and Deloitte
The Stage 7 Project Team – Ontario Shores for Mental Health Sciences and Healthtech Consultants

Patient Care Innovation Project Team Award

The Northumberland PATH Community Partnership  – Northumberland Hills Hospital and McKesson Canada
The Stage 7 Project Team – Ontario Shores for Mental Health Sciences and Healthtech Consultants

Project Implementation Team Award
The Alberta Organ & Tissue Donation Registry (AOTDR) Project Team – Alberta Health and CGI
The Accuro/Peterborough Implementation Project Team – Peterborough Clinic and QHR Technologies
The Palliative Care Project Team – UHN and Strata Health
The Stage 7 Project Team – Ontario Shores for Mental Health Sciences and Healthtech Consultants

“There were many excellent projects that were nominated for the 2015 CHIA awards.  The judging process was rigorous but it was a challenge to select the finalists and the winners”, said Roger Girard, a member of the CHIA Adjudication Committee. “The nominations are a testament to the excellence, leadership and innovation within Health IT across Canada.”
