Why become a member of the INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ASSOCIATION OF CANADA (ITAC)?
We are the national association of Canada's information and communications technology (ICT) industry. Industry-funded and entirely focused on ICT we represent a broad range of large, medium and small enterprises spanning telecommunications and internet services, ICT consulting services, hardware, microelectronics, software and electronic content.
By enabling you to:
We will give you the opportunity to network with the most senior Canadian people from each of our member firms at Board of Governors Dinners. Attend our special "Doing Business With" event series. Large companies have the opportunity to come and share with smaller companies how and why they need to partner with them and what they are looking for specifically from a partner.
All individuals in our member companies are encouraged to serve on our Member forums or sector councils that address important issues affecting specific areas of the ICT industry and your business. Add your voice in developing public policy changes that are important to our industry while advocating the interest of the ICT community in creating an innovation ecosystem made up of skilled workers, easier access to capital investment, strong technological capability, a competitive tax regime and full adoption of ICT by both Government and the private sector.
All individuals in our member companies have the opportunity to work on issues in their specific area(s) of interest (Cyber Security, Digital Commerce, Health, Human Resources Forum, Strategic Microsystems, etc.) and help create environments for professional development while, at the same time, addressing matters of broad concern to the industry as a whole.
As a member you will be able to post news on itac.ca and gain exposure through ITAC's domestic activities and foreign market development. Every individual in your company is part of ITAC and can attend ITAC events and workshops at a 50% discount. This means they are all ambassadors for your brand. Several of our events also allow the opportunity for sponsorship.
To qualify for regular membership, your company must be a "for profit" organization with a presence in Canada, for whom the provision of information technology products or services is a significant component of revenue and of strategic importance, or one which increases the efficiency of electronic markets by facilitating the meeting and interaction of buyers and sellers over the Internet.
This category is comprised of not for profit organizations which do not qualify for regular membership, but whose interest in information technology is such that their involvement would be of great benefit to the association. An associate member is not eligible to vote or hold office on any of ITAC's boards, committees and forums.
ITAC is the VOICE of the Canadian Information and Communications Technology Industry! Become an ITAC member today and add your voice to ours.
