Mandate

The Human Resources Forum allows for the sharing and discussion of views, information and best practices in a confidential and open group environment. It acts as a resource to members of ITAC on various HR issues. It is also a forum for being heard as a group and encourages the ethical and consistent application of HR practices across ITAC member organizations. The forum supports the compensation survey process through strategic level recommendations, timely feedback and actively supports appropriate company resources to ensure world-class results. It is not a venue to promote one's goods or services.

Highlights

The Human Resources Forum is an excellent professional development opportunity for HR professionals in the IT industry. We discuss best practices in these areas and much more. The 2012 agenda will address many topics and themes including:

  • Employment Law  Update
  • Compensation & Benefits Trends Update (what’s new, different and / or challenging in the IT industry)
  • Employee Engagement (wellness, mental disabilities in the workplace, etc..) - Innovation (immigration, new ideas, etc…) - Branding  (employee value proposition)
  • Social Media (Legal discussion, millennial recruitment and retention, policing and policy, the employee experience)
  • Onboarding (in a virtual environment) – HR Toolbox / Best Practices Panel – Vendors (websites, sourcing, research, networks, memberships, tools, etc…)
  • Planning Session for 2013

A roundtable discussion is held during lunch at the end of each meeting to provide an opportunity to raise issues and seek answers to queries in an informal and confidential environment.
