Call for Nominations Open: ITAC Ingenious Awards & CanadianCIO of the Year Awards

Toronto, ON (May 9, 2018) – The Information and Technology Association of Canada (ITAC) has announced the opening of the nomination process for the 2018 ITAC Ingenious Awards and the CanadianCIO of the Year Award.  The ITAC Ingenious Awards celebrate excellence in the use of information and communications technology (ICT) by organizations in all walks of Canadian life, in a way that solves problems, improves performance, introduces new services or helps a business to grow.

Nominees and award recipients include Canadians who work in business, government and other public-sector organizations and not-for-profit entities.  There are six Ingenious Award categories from which to choose, including the Ingenious Spark, created in 2017 to recognize a Canadian company that showcases an early growth and unique innovation that is looking to change the world or disrupt an industry.

As part of the awards program, we will present two CanadianCIO of the Year Awards recognizing overall excellence among Canada’s community of Chief Information Officers (CIOs) – one from the private sector and the other from the public sector. The CanadianCIO of the Year Award is co-presented by ITAC and CanadianCIO (published by IT World Canada).   The CIO Association of Canada (CIOCAN) is a co-sponsor of both the ITAC Ingenious Awards and the ITAC CanadianCIO of the Year Awards.

Deadline to submit nominations is June 29, 2018.  Finalists will be notified in August 2018.  Winners will be notified by the end of September.  The ITAC Ingenious Awards and CanadianCIO Awards will be presented on November 6, 2018 at an awards gala at the Omni King Edward Hotel, in Toronto, ON.
