Canada’s Finance Minister Freezes EI Rates

FlahertyFinance Minister Jim Flaherty has announced the government will freeze Employment Insurance rates for employees  and employers for the next three years. He stated that the tax relief is intended to help support Canada’s economic recovery, especially for small businesses. The move will leave $660 million in the pockets of businesses andCanadian workers. ITAC believes the measure will be helpful for small ICT firms who will be able to use the tax savings to grow their businesses.
