Employers making use of the Temporary Foreign Worker Program should be aware of new regulations Employment and Social Development Canada introduced on December 31. The changes relate to the retention of records for temporary foreign workers, new government authority to conduct inspections and penalties for non-compliance. ITAC believes that access to the global ICT market is important to our industry. We advocate for a policy regime that recognizes the important role that global ICT workers play in building a more innovative and competitive industry.
