Kevin de Snayer, CISSP

Kevin de Snayer is the National Cyber Resilience Strategist for Calian: a world-renowned company with offices and projects that span Canada, the United States, and international markets. He has spent the last two decades leading a team of security experts that are sought after by Government, Academia and Commercial organizations to provide end-to-end cyber security solutions.

During his presentation, you will learn about the challenges associated with leading a SME through cyber security risks with limited resources while underscoring the reality of today’s business threat environment of internal threats, accidental threats and external threats. As well Kevin will address the issues associated with traditional data protection approaches and provide recommendations and strategies on how to protect data without hindering business operations.

Ashley Lukeeram, CISSP, CEH, CRISC

Ashley is accountable for Tenable’s overall business strategy in Canada. He leads a team of cyber security experts in helping Canadian organisations address cyber security and risk management issues through Tenable’s solutions and services.

Ashley has over 20 years experience in the IT industry. He started his career in a consulting role on IT Infrastructure and Security for enterprise customers. His passion for cyber security led him to managing the security program of a Symantec and Microsoft distributor for the Africa region. He continued on the cyber security journey at industry leading companies such as Rogers, Symantec and RSA in the last decade, helping customers across all business verticals in Canada.

Along with a Masters degree in Information Technology from Cranfield University UK, Ashley also holds several industry certifications such as CEH, CISSP, CRISC and CompTia Security+. Ashley has been part of the Industry Advisory Board of Reboot’s “Privacy and Security Conference” and is currently an active member of TECHNATION & CCTX. He has also presented at Canada’s national security committee on the topic of cyber risk.

Ruth Promislow

Ruth Promislow has extensive experience with data protection, privacy and cybersecurity matters including regulatory compliance, cyber preparedness, breach response and related litigation. Ruth works with clients to assess their risks and vulnerabilities, and their legal obligations regarding collection, use and storage of personal or confidential information.

She assists clients in developing comprehensive policies, guidelines, and procedures to minimize exposure from potential attacks, and to ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations. Ruth also works with clients to develop and implement effective incident response plans enabling clients to respond quickly to a data incident without creating further liability from incident mismanagement.

Eldon Sprickerhoff

Eldon is the original pioneer and inventor of what is now referred to as Managed Detection and Response (MDR). In founding eSentire, he responded to the incipient yet rapidly growing demand for a more proactive approach to preventing and investigating information security breaches. Now with over 20 years of tactical experience, Eldon is acknowledged as a subject matter expert in information security analysis. Eldon holds a Bachelor of Mathematics, Computer Science degree from the University of Waterloo.
