At this Executive Briefing, Dave Adamson, the Deputy Chief Information Officer for the Government of Canada will participate in an interactive panel discussion with Departmental CIOs. Deputy Chief Information Officer, Treasury Board Secretariat
In August 2013 Dave Adamson was appointed to the Deputy Chief Information Officer for the Government of Canada at the Treasury Board Secretariat. In this role, Mr. Adamson is responsible for supporting key activities of the branch including policy development, monitoring, management oversight, and leading community development and capacity building initiatives in information management, information technology, security and identity management, and access to information and privacy to ensure the sound management and stewardship of the Government of Canada’s information and technology assets and its communities of practice.From April 2011 Mr. Adamson was the Chief Information Officer at Citizenship and Immigration Canada and between 2008 and 2011 he was the Chief Information Officer at Justice Canada. Prior to this he fulfilled a variety of Senior Director General roles at HRDC/Service Canada including Chief Technology Officer and Chief Solutions Officer. Mr. Adamson has also spent about a third of his career in private sector consulting and executive management.Mr. Adamson proudly holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Ottawa.
