Dates: Nov 1-3, 2017- 9am-5pm

Location: Aberdeen Pavilion at Lansdowne Park, Ottawa

This November 1-3, Canada will be hosting the first FWD50, a global conference on government technology and digital transformation. The event brings together experts from as far afield as Estonia, New Zealand, and the UK, as well as executives, academics, and policy-makers from Canada and the US. Our goal is to discuss how we use technology to create a better society, and the steps required to get there.

The lineup includes the likes of:

  • Pia Waugh (Govhack)
  • Harper Reed (Obama for America)
  • Alex Howard (Sunlight Foundation)
  • James Stewart (co-founder of UKGDS)
  • Siim Sikkut (GCIO of Estonia)
  • Hillary Hartley (18F, GCDO of Ontario)
  • Robyn Scott (Apolitical)
  • Alistair Croll (HBS, Lean Analytics) and many more.

Topics and speakers have been carefully chosen with the help of TBS, the Federal government, and the private sector.

In addition to the standard conference tracks, FWD50 offers a series of workshops, looking into digital government, artificial intelligence, cloud migration, streamlining procurement, agile project management, data science, and professional development. The event is also partnering with DPI, Policy Ignite, and many other organizations to create a packed, three day, lineup.
