Hear from Career Business on research conducted for professional services, rewards, talent strategy and transformation and Health on healthcare innovation and emerging vendors.

Health care and health care delivery is evolving with the pace of change only expected to accelerate. One of the biggest challenges however is for benefits plan sponsors to understand the current environment, make sense of the evolving vendor landscape and find the right solutions to help deliver on their health and benefit strategies which are a business imperative. We will discuss emerging trends in the benefits and health care space to help employers build a transformative health and benefits strategy and plan for the future.

Liz English is a Principal in in the Information Solutions segment of Mercer’s Careers business in Toronto. She leads the suite of surveys for the Professional Services industry across both Canada and the US, as well as the North American Compensation Planning Surveys and the Ontario Municipal Compensation Survey.

Liz has over ten years of experience in managing compensation surveys and consulting with clients on a range of compensation projects, including: organization-wide market competitive reviews, implementation of job evaluation systems, base pay management programs, and custom survey development and delivery

Kenneth Yung is a Partner in Mercer’s Career business, and provides strategic oversight across all consulting practices in the business, including rewards, communications, talent strategy and transformation. He also leads Mercer’s Executive Rewards business in Canada.

Kenneth advises a number of Mercer’s TSX60 clients in Canada, many of which are dual-listed in Canada and the US and have complex global/regional operations. He presents regularly at a variety of client seminars on compensation and governance topics.

Marie-Josée Le Blanc is a Health partner at Mercer, where she has been practicing for 30 years.

As a benefits consultant, she is working with Canadian organizations of all sizes and industries. She has in-depth expertise in the development, financing and administration of traditional and flexible group insurance programs, and in the actuarial valuation of post-retirement benefits for accounting purposes.

Over her career, she has also played numerous roles at Mercer. She is now part of the Health Canadian Leadership Team and is responsible for Innovation and specialty services such as Drug Management, Health & Productivity, Mobile Workforce Solutions to name a few.

She is a frequent speaker in Benefits forums.

Marie-Josée holds a Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science from Université Laval. She is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and of the Society of Actuaries.

The HR Forum is a peer-to-peer networking group that allows for information sharing and discussion of the latest HR trends, views and best practices in a group environment. It is an excellent professional development opportunity for HR professionals in the ICT industry. A roundtable discussion is held at the end of each meeting to provide an opportunity to raise issues and seek answers to queries in an informal and confidential environment.You can also earn re-certification points for your CHRP (Certified Human Resources Professional) and CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) designations by attending the ITAC HR Forum meetings.This group meets approximately six times a year and offers both virtual and face-to-face meetings.
