Kennedy joined Microsoft Canada in October 2013 at a time of growth for the company, which is making a global shift to a services and devices organization. Janet will be sharing with us her experience in leading an organization through transformation, and how Microsoft’s shift to the Cloud required a new leadership approach and cultural transformation.

For the 5 years prior to joining the Canadian team, Janet was the Regional Vice President for Enterprise customers, first in the US West Region, and most recently in US Central Region. In this role she grew the business by more than $1 billion to over $3 billion and has been instrumental in leading the transformation to the cloud with some of the largest and earliest customers on Office 365.
Prior to Microsoft, Kennedy had a long career at IBM in numerous roles. She received a degree in Industrial Management/Industrial Engineering from Purdue University and earned her MBA from McColl School of Business, Queens University in Charlotte, N.C.
