The ITAC Health Interoperability and Standards Committee (ISC) is pleased to host a presentation by Mike Krasnay, the Director for Enterprise and Integration Architecture of the Architecture and Standards Division of eHealth Ontario.
This session will provide participants with an overview of eHealth Ontario’s Innovation lab. Key topics include:
- A description of the lab, and how it supports healthcare innovation in Ontario
- A walkthrough of the lab’s resources and test harness
- A roadmap of upcoming features and benefits
Mike Krasnay, Director, Enterprise and Integration Architecture, Architecture and Standards Division, eHealth Ontario
Mike directs a team of architects and managers who are experts in assembling the digital health record for each of Ontario’s 13 million citizens. The team’s mission is to design the enterprise class systems that enable the integration of health information among thousands of disparate information systems and organizations, and provide subject matter expertise in yielding the greatest benefit from these systems. Key challenges in provincial health information integration include patient and provider identity information integration, uniform enforcement of privacy and security policy, heterogeneous systems integration, adoption of technical and clinical information standards, and contending with the needs, priorities, and motivations of a diverse stakeholder community. Mike is CPHIMS-certified and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Carleton University.
