Ontario is in the process of developing the province’s first Ontario’s Data Strategy with a goals to create economic opportunities and to improve government services by facilitating greater data sharing and by using more data driven technology as well as maintaining the trust and confidence of Ontarians.
On Tuesday November 5, 2019, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm ITAC has partnered with the Ontario Digital Service to lead a stakeholder engagement session in Ottawa on the Strategy and are seeking diverse voices in the tech community to share expertise. It is important that the Ontario Government hears from a wide cross-section of the ITAC membership. During roundtables, you will have the opportunity to have focussed, in-depth conversations on the topics covered in the three Ontario Data Strategy discussion papers:
• ensuring public trust and confidence in the data economy
• enabling Ontario firms to develop data-driven business models
• unlocking the value of government data
