The Ministry of Government Services has hosted reverse trade shows for vendors and potential vendors to Ontario ministries, agencies, academic and health organizations and municipalities semi-annually since April 2009. The next event will be held on November 14, 2013 at Bingemans Convention Centre, 425 Bingemans Centre Drive, Kitchener from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

 

There will be some thirty booths staffed by procurement and program persons from Ontario Ministries, agencies, academic and health care organizations and municipalities.  The attached e-flyer describes the event which we believe operates to the mutual benefit of government ministries, public sector bodies and vendor businesses alike in their forward planning.  It would be much appreciated if you could distribute the attached flyer to your membership when you next communicate with it.  Alternatively, you might mention the event in your regular newsletter for members or by posting a link to the Doing Business with the Ontario Government website in your online listing of upcoming events.  Vendors can register for Supply Ontario by clicking on the following link: www.doingbusiness.mgs.gov.on.ca

 

A seminar, “How to do Business with the Ontario Government” is planned for 2:00 p.m.  The timing will allow businesses not yet familiar with bidding on the needs of the Ontario government to better understand the public procurement process in advance of visiting the trade show.  Minister of Government Services, John Milloy is expected to attend.
