Federal Health Minister Rona Ambrose has launched her new Advisory Panel on Healthcare Innovation. On June 24, Ambrose named Dr. David Naylor to chair the panel, which is made up of prominent Canadians from across the country providing a range of perspectives and expertise. The other members are: Cy Frank, Neil Fraser, Francine Girard, Toby Jenkins, Jack Mintz, Chris Power, and Heather Reisman.

Responding to the announcement, ITAC President and CEO Karna Gupta said: “ITAC recognizes the strong national leadership shown by Minister Ambrose in establishing this panel. We are in the midst of an innovation revolution that will drive change in healthcare. Harnessing the creativity of the public and private sectors in Canada is key to improving the health of Canadians and the sustainability of the Canadian healthcare system.”
