Infoway Seeks Feedback on Privacy and Security Certification Requirements

August 16, 2016 (Toronto) – Canada Health Infoway (Infoway) is inviting the digital health community to provide feedback on national privacy and security requirements as part of the final phase of its harmonization project to enhance the value of certification services in Canada.

The privacy and security harmonization project undertaken by Infoway is part of a strategy launched in 2014 that provides recommendations to improve digital health certification services in Canada. Currently in its third and final phase, Infoway is inviting the public to provide comments on the requirements relating to rigour, clarity, feasibility and gaps.

“We look forward to receiving comments on this project,” said Dennis Giokas, Chief Technology Officer, Innovation Ecosystem Group, Canada Health Infoway. “The feedback received will be used to help finalize the project and in reaching the goal of harmonizing privacy and security requirements across Canada which will reduce cost and redundancy in testing digital health software solutions.”

Please email certificationservices@infoway-inforoute.ca with your indication of interest to receive the documents and materials needed for your review and feedback. We ask that all feedback be provided by September 9, 2016.
