Sixty-four nominations for the Information Technology Association of Canada’s (ITAC) second Ingenious Awards have been received and forwarded to the Ingenious judges. The nominations come from across Canada and represent a broad cross-section of organizations in the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors.

Following the first-round judging, which will be overseen by a panel of executives from the CIO Association of Canada, a second panel, led by former ITAC chair Ronan McGrath, will select the final winners in each of five categories.

The Ingenious Awards program celebrates enterprises that demonstrate measurable evidence of productivity improvement, efficiency gains, revenue growth, overall business transformation or other organizational outcomes through the use of technology.

This year’s Ingenious Awards winners will be recognized at a gala dinner in Toronto on November 27, 2013, which will be hosted by popular technology commentator Duncan Stewart, Director of Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) Research for Deloitte Canada. A globally recognized thought leader on forecasting consumer and enterprise technology, media, and telecommunications trends, Stewart is co-author of Deloitte Research annual TMT predictions report.

In addition to the Ingenious Award winners, the gala dinner will attract more than 350 senior representatives from the information, communications, and technology industry, including heads of companies and senior government officials. Tickets will go on sale shortly.

The Ingenious Awards program is made possible through the support of ITAC members, sponsors and partners including: CGI, Cisco Systems Canada, Dell Canada Inc., Intel of Canada, Softchoice Corporation, Xerox Canada Inc., Oracle Canada, Hewlett-Packard Canada, Deloitte Canada, Backbone Magazine, IT World Canada, and the CIO Association of Canada.
