ITAC Joins Push for Trans-Pacific Partnership

The ability to transmit data is the lifeblood of companies, both big and small, foreign and domestic.
That’s why ITAC has joined with numerous other business associations around the world urging the parties negotiating the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) agreement to ensure the seamless flow of data across borders.
The TTP has the potential for establishing critically important market access and trade disciplines.
In a letter to the negotiating parties, ITAC and others ask for the establishment of clear and enforceable obligations to allow a cross-border flow of information that prohibit requirements to localize data. Read the Letter
