ITAC RAISES ICT DIALOGUE LEADING UP TO
In preparation for Budget 2016, ITAC participated in the 2016 budget consultations conducted by the Standing Committee on Finance. President Karna Gupta provided the Standing Committee with ITACs Pre-Budget Submission and related context. Additionally, a letter was sent to Honourable Bill Morneau, Minister of Finance further communicating our budget interests.
In tandem with our budgetary efforts, ITAC hosted its annual Hill Day on February 23, 2016 in support of the ICT sector in Canada. The purpose was to build our brand and demonstrate the value of working with the ICT sector as partners. Representing the sector, members sought to provide constructive advice on how this new Government can move our nation’s digital agenda forward. A post-Hill Day brief was sent to members highlighting the senior delegates engaged, the results and actions taken.
Going into the new year ahead, ITAC eagerly awaits the results from Budget 2016 and will align its plans and priorities accordingly. For further information or to identify how to engage and support the related activities. please contact Kelly Hutchinson.
