Shared Services Canada (SSC)Information Technology Infrastructure Roundtable (ITIR) Procurement Benchmarks Committee met with industry associations yesterday to discuss the following three areas:
- Procure to Pay
- Request for Input on Procurement policy
- Engagement of SMEs
- Limitation of Liability
ITAC succeeded it highlighting the need for agreement on the use of its standard clause on Limitation of Liability at the meeting. Chair Gina Rallis, Senior Assistant Deputy Minister and Chief Financial Officer, Corporate Services, Shared Services Canada and Co-Chair Marc Sullivan, Assistant Comptroller General, Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat, agreed that this issue should go to a special working group and be raised again at the next meeting.
Getting the Limitation of Liability clause clarified is a major concern for ITAC members and, going forward, ITAC will work to ensure its members views are represented properly in SSC RFPs and, particularly, for Limitation of Liability.
ITAC will also continue to provide input to SSC on the engagement and procurement policy for SMEs . Any ITAC member interested in participating in this work should contact Linda Oliver (loliver@itac.ca).
