ITAC Chair Jim Muzyka presented the award for ITAC’s Volunteer of the Year to Susan Dean-Norton on June 12. Susan is the Human Resources Business Partner and Diversity and Inclusion Manage for HP Canada. But, as Jim pointed out, she is also the lynchpin of ITAC’s Diversity Advisory Committee. “Susan is a rare gift to a community of volunteers,” Jim said in presenting the award. “Her demonstration of an above-and-beyond commitment to the issue being addressed encourages everyone else to make their own contributions in a timely and effective fashion…. Susan also brings a great repository of knowledge to the role she plays with the Diversity Committee. She has 18 years of experience as a human resources professional with EDS and HP, and she has a particular expertise in employee recognition programs as well as diversity and inclusion initiatives.”
