Dr. Ron Babin, Director, Corporate and Executive Education, Associate Professor, Ted Rogers School of Management, Ryerson University

Ron Babin is an Associate Professor at the Ted Rogers School of IT Management at Ryerson University in Toronto.  Prior to joining Ryerson he was a partner at KPMG and at Accenture.  As a senior management consultant at these firms, Ron advised clients regarding IT strategy. His clients include major organizations in Canada and the US.

At Ryerson University, Ron teaches in the Business Technology Management (BTM) and the MBA programs, particularly in the areas of Global Technology Trends.  He is an adjunct researcher in the IDC IT Executive Program.  Ron’s research is focused on social responsibility issues related to global outsourcing.  He has published several papers and two books on this  topic.  Dr. Babin graduated from the Manchester Business School at the University of Manchester where he received his Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA). He also holds an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University in Toronto.  Ron is an academic member at the Centre for Outsourcing Research and Education (CORE) and at the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP);  for both of these organizations he teaches the management of outsourcing to global executives.  Ron is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and a Certified Outsourcing Professional (COP).
