Tearing Apart the Patent Process

On October 23 and 24, inventors, patent examiners, patent agents, lawyers, judges and policy analysts will tear apart and rebuild the patenting process in Canada.

The lofty objective is part of  an IP Hackathon aimed at helping promote innovation, research and creativity in Canada while at the same time making the patent process more user friendly.

The event brings together stakeholders of the patent process to create viable new ideas for redesigning it. The organizations behind the event include IP Osgoode, Lassonde School of Engineering – York University, Stanford’s d-school, Stanford Law School and the Canadian Intellectual Property Office.

ITAC members are invited to participate and share their valuable perspective. To register, visit the registration link on the event website.  Event Code: IPHack.
